Your Kaohsiung shore excursion begins with picking up at Kaohsiung port by your guide and driver. They will then transfer you to the first place – Lotus Pond in the Spring and Autumn Pavilions Taoist temple complex. This man-made pond was surrounded by temples, pagodas, and a series of statues.
The Dragon and Tiger Pagodas provides to walk through the mouth of two animals, believed to transform bad luck into the fortune. While stroll around, we see several ghoulish paintings revealed the old stories of heaven and hell. Wander along and you can see the special Pei Chi Pavilion. With the 72 meters tall, it is the highest water statue in Southeast Asia.
Then, we head to Confucius Temple built following the Song Dynasty architecture. It’s the largest Confucius Temple in Taiwan, you can adore the bronze relief revealed the life of Confucius, and witness the exterior magnificent, solemn and venerable shrines.
The last spot of your Kaohsiung tour from cruise port is Cijin – a small island (just takes 15-minutes ferry ride from Kaohsiung).
